Lions &Tigers & Bears - Oh My!

Day 4 - What a fabulous day we had today!
After breakfast, we loaded onto our coach bus, greeted by the Santa-like smile of Mr. Brian - Oh! That's our driver - a gentle soul with the patience of Job! Off we went, braving the elements, looking forward with anticipation to our next exciting adventure. As we meandered through the crests and troughs of what appeared to be endless roadway and not to mention miles and miles of green space, there it was, standing as a beacon for all wide-eyed adventurers to see - a sign as big and bright as the morning sun - 'Welcome to the African Lion Safari!' Our hearts began to race and we shouted and cheered - finally we made it! As the bus waited in the line, two friendly Safari rangers appeared, and they gave us the biggest welcome and much needed instructions for our tour. Dodging raindrops and hopping over puddles, we made our way to 'Kenya Gate' - a cool area where we shopped for souvenirs while we awaited our long waited Safari Tour. Finally, the time had come to make our way to 'Jungle Junction' to board the Safari Bus, and truly, the little wait did not disappoint -  Lions,
Cheetahs, Bison, Elephants, Giraffe, Deer, Zebra, Watusi, Rhinoceros, Ostrich and so many more; all roaming the plains in a simulation of their natural habitat - just Awesome!

Sad to say good-bye to the park, we headed into Toronto to the new 'Ripley's Aquarium. Here we saw first hand the contrast to this morning's adventure - this was all about Marine Life.

The exhibits and interactive experiences were exhilarating. We had been transported to life under the sea in the blink of an eye. Without even knowing it, we were swimming with the sharks, floating with the jelly fish and even entangled in the dangerous lagoon - so much fun!

The day was winding down and we still had another exciting adventure looming in the mist - yes, it was still raining, but nothing could stop our excitement. We arrived at our final destination the 'Medieval Times'. A step back in time to the life of the Knights of the Round Table. The show was magical and the food delicious. Did I mention that there were no forks, knives or spoons - yes - we ate with our hands. All a part of the magic! What a day this has been. What lies on the horizon for our final day? Only time will tell.....
